In order to promote education, backed by Tegeta, the Ontopo library held an essay contest.

Supporting education is one of the priorities of Tegeta Holding's corporate social responsibility program. Guided by this vision, a year ago the company entered into a partnership agreement with a century-old library located in the village of Ontopo and has been able to implement a number of educational initiatives within the framework of this partnership. Among them is the essay contest “The World Around Me,” organized for local youth on the initiative of the Ontopo Library Trust Fund with the support of Tegeta Holding and Tegeta Green Planet.

The essay contest “The World Around Me,” first held in 2025 on the initiative of the Ontopo Library Trust Fund, brought together two age groups: students in grades 5-7 and 8-12. The aim of the competition is to encourage children to read, analyze, and express their own opinions, as well as to establish more active interaction with the library.

As part of the essay contest, Tegeta Green Planet, which supported the “Green Essay” category, established a special Green Award. The award was presented to the author of the best essay on the topic of nature conservation, and its winner was Mariam Davitaya. In this way, the company once again emphasized the need to develop environmental responsibility and raise awareness of environmental protection from an early age.

Shalva Akhvlediani, Director of Tegeta Green Planet: "For Tegeta Green Planet, protecting the environment is not just part of our business, it is one of our core values. We are actively working to raise awareness in this area, especially among young people. We believe that it is the future generation that will make innovative and responsible decisions in the direction of environmental protection. That is why we decided to support the “Green Essay” category. We received some very interesting entries for the competition and wish all participants every success."

Supporting education is one of the priority areas of corporate sustainability for Tegeta Holding. Tegeta Academy is a subsidiary company created to improve professional skills and education. It has been engaged in educational activities since 2013 and, in cooperation with Tegeta Motors, trains qualified specialists in the automotive industry using the concept of on-the-job training. In addition, the holding company, together with its partners within the framework of Tegeta.care, is actively working to overcome various educational problems. With the support of Tegeta, about 20 libraries in different regions have been replenished with book collections and equipped with technological equipment; about 1,000 teenagers have been involved in the process of promoting education; in more than 30 villages in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, about 500 teenagers received much-desired books, Tegeta provided more than 5,000 books for educational projects; together with its partners, the company financed the training of 10 girls in digital professions, etc. Employee participation in educational projects is particularly important for Tegeta—more than 500 employees have participated in various initiatives.
