The director of “Tegeta Green Planet” is a participant in a meeting on waste management and circular economy development.
A consultation meeting within the framework of the EU-funded project "Promotion of Waste Management and Circular Economy Development in Georgia" took place in Telavi on June 6-8. The meeting was attended by Shalva Akhvlediani, Director of “Tegeta Green Planet”.
During the meeting the representatives of private sector discussed the aims and objectives of the project, their needs for better waste management, the benefits of the circular economy and the existing challenges in this direction. The participants received technical information about EU best practices.
The project aims at promoting recycling and circular economy practices in Georgia, which will mitigate harmful effects on the environment and human health.
The project is implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and is implemented by the international consulting company COWI and the Regional Environmental Center Caucasus (REC Caucasus).
