On April 25, 2024, a public lecture was held at the Environmental Information and Education Center. At the lecture, which was held in preparation for the debate tournament, students from the debate school and debate clubs discussed various environmental issues and challenges, including climate change, waste management, biodiversity, and water resources.

The national debate tournament aims to popularize the environmental subject and raise awareness among young people using debate methods and techniques. The tournament is organized in the framework of the “Debate for Better Education” project.

The project “Debates for Better Education” is realized with the support of the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and Ilia State University. The National Debate Tournament is supported by Tegeta Green Planet and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
