Young People for a Green Future - Summer Camp Held with Support from Tegeta Green Planet and Toyota Center Tegeta
Presentations, interactive workshops, games, team-building activities, and environmental discussions - with the support of Tegeta Green Planet and Toyota Center Tegeta, the Word Academy's summer camp hosted teenagers aged 8-17 in Kakheti.
Over the course of one week, camp participants completely set aside technology and social media, dedicating their time instead to education, creative activities, teamwork, and new experiences. As part of the diverse program, the young participants met professionals from various fields and took part in discussions and hands-on activities aimed at developing critical thinking, leadership skills, and social responsibility.
The camp's program covered literature, philosophy, history, music, art, cinema, and ecology. Within the environmental track, participants met with Shalva Akhvlediani, Director of Tegeta Green Planet, along with other company representatives, who introduced the young people to the principles of the circular economy, the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system, and the importance of responsibly managing automotive waste - tires, batteries, and oils.
Alongside the presentations, interactive workshops, team games, and debates were held, where the participants discussed environmental protection, efficient resource use, and sustainable development. The children came to clearly understand the importance of individual responsibility within society. They agreed that caring for the environment is not solely an individual responsibility - it is a shared effort that unites individuals, society, and business.
As an authorized Extended Producer Responsibility organization, Tegeta Green Planet actively promotes environmental awareness and the popularization of circular economy principles in Georgia. For this reason, active engagement with the younger generation holds particular importance for the company.
