As part of Earth Day, Tegeta Green Planet carried out an educational activity at a school in Batumi

The initiative of Tegeta Holding - Tegeta Green Planet, established within the framework of corporate social responsibility, aims to raise environmental awareness in society and encourage sustainable behavior. The organization’s team actively collaborates with educational institutions by visiting schools and delivering informative presentations, interactive activities, and engaging games that help students better understand the importance of environmental protection through practical examples.

To mark Earth Day, Tegeta Green Planet visited the Georgian-American School in Batumi, where a presentation on “Specific Waste Management” was held for 5th–6th grade students. The meeting was conducted in an interactive format and included a variety of activities, enabling students to better understand environmental responsibility and the importance of proper waste management.

Students actively participated in discussions, answered questions, and engaged in practical tasks, gaining knowledge they can apply in everyday life - how to treat the environment responsibly and how to transform waste into a resource. At the end of the activity, students were awarded certificates and symbolic gifts for their engagement and active participation, further boosting their motivation and positive experience.

The main goal of the initiative is to raise environmental awareness among the younger generation and develop skills that will help them become more responsible citizens in the future. This activity is part of a broader educational campaign, through which Tegeta Green Planet will gradually visit schools across different regions of Georgia.

Tegeta Green Planet is an organization affiliated with Tegeta Holding, operating since 2022. It is one of the first organizations in Georgia to receive authorization from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework. The organization ensures the full lifecycle management of specific waste streams - including used tyres, oils, and batteries - from collection and transportation to recycling, and their further management in line with circular economy principles.
