February 12, 2025 the head of “Tegeta Green Planet” Shalva Akhvlediani spoke on air of the TV channel “Palitra News” about the tasks and plans for the future of the organization within the framework of Extended Producer Responsibility. Along with Shalva Akhvlediani, Ivane Mvralashvili, head of the “Waste Management Business Association” and Giorgi Guliashvili, head of the “Extended Producer Responsibility Association of Georgia” also participated in the program “Monetization”.

The leaders note that the situation in the field of waste management is improving year by year.  However, despite tangible progress, there are still problems such as lack of recycling facilities and inadequate infrastructure. Another challenge is low public awareness and improper, illegal management of hazardous waste through illegal markets.

During the panel, leaders of Extended Producer Responsibility organizations discuss plans for the future and outline the necessary steps to be taken in response to current challenges through the cooperation of Extended Producer Responsibility organizations, government and business.
