Representatives of Tegeta Green Planet and Shine Energy Visited GLC School

Representatives of Tegeta Green Planet and Shine Energy visited students of grades VI–IX at GLC School (Georgian Learning Center School). Tegeta Green Planet is one of the first organizations in Georgia authorized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture within the framework of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system. The organization ensures the collection, transportation, and recycling of used tires, waste oils, and batteries in accordance with the principles of the circular economy.

During the visit, students from grades VI–IX actively participated in discussions, practical activities, and engaging educational tasks. They gained valuable knowledge about waste management, resource conservation, and the importance of responsible environmental stewardship. Students also learned how the Extended Producer Responsibility system operates and what role each citizen plays in protecting the environment.

At the end of the activity, students were awarded certificates and symbolic gifts in recognition of their active participation and engagement, further strengthening their motivation and enthusiasm.

One of the main goals of Tegeta Green Planet and Shine Energy is to raise environmental awareness among younger generations and share knowledge that helps them develop sustainable and responsible behavior. The visit was part of a broader educational initiative through which students explore environmental topics using practical examples and interactive learning methods.

The initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable behavior. As part of the project, students participate in educational presentations, interactive games, and engaging activities that introduce the importance of environmental protection and the principles of the circular economy through practical examples.
