With the aim of raising environmental awareness and promoting sustainable development principles, representatives of Tegeta Green Planet and Shine Energy visited Lampari School-Lyceum on May 8, where they held an educational meeting for students in grades VII-IX on the topic: “A Sustainable Future: Environment, Transportation, and Energy.”

Through interactive presentations, discussions, and practical activities, students received information about waste management, the efficient use of resources, environmental responsibility, and the importance of renewable energy.

Students also learned about the key principles of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system and its role in environmental protection. Particular attention was given to the role each citizen plays in proper waste management and in creating a sustainable future.

One of the highlights of the event was a series of educational games and team-based activities, in which students actively participated. Upon completion of the program, participants were awarded certificates and symbolic gifts.

Tegeta Green Planet has been operating since 2022 and is one of the first authorized organizations in Georgia to receive authorization from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture within the framework of the Extended Producer Responsibility system. The organization ensures the collection, transportation, and recycling of used tires, oils, and batteries, while their subsequent management is carried out in accordance with the principles of the circular economy.

Educating young people on environmental issues and fostering a sense of responsibility toward nature is one of the key priorities of Tegeta Green Planet and Shine Energy. For this purpose, the organizations implement a series of educational meetings that introduce students to environmental protection, resource conservation, and sustainable development through practical examples and interactive formats.

Such initiatives contribute to the development of an environmentally responsible generation and strengthen a culture of environmental stewardship, which is an essential prerequisite for building a sustainable future.
