Tegeta Green Planet representatives met with the Head of the Directorate General for Environment Devor Pekans, the Head of the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement of the European Commission Negotiations Matthew Busquet, and the Thematic Officer of the Directorate General for Neighborhood Negotiations and Enlargement of the European Commission Negotiations Sandrine Beauchamp.
During the visit, the delegation members together with foreign experts discussed the steps taken by Georgia to support the development of circular economy in the country. The participants spoke about the importance of establishing extended producer responsibility organizations and the steps they are taking to develop green economy and environmental behavior among the population.
During the visit, members of the Georgian delegation got acquainted with the European experience of extended producer responsibility organizations and had an opportunity to see the processing infrastructure in Belgium. Members of the delegation together with foreign experts spoke about the steps to be taken by Georgia, which will contribute to the green transformation of the country and the development of circular economy.
Together with the representatives of Tegeta Green Planet, the delegation included Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. Also representatives of relevant departments of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, as well as extended producer responsibility organizations.
