“Tegeta Green Planet” supports the “Eco-Leaders School” retreat program meeting

The 2024 training course of the “Eco-Leaders School” program developed by the Center for Environmental Information and Education has come to an end.

Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili and Director of the Environmental Information and Education Center Tamar Aladashvili met with the school students and handed them certificates.

The goal of the Eco-Leaders School is to teach the younger generation about environmental issues and raise their awareness in this direction. For two months, representatives of the Center for Environmental Information and Education and guest experts delivered lectures to the school students.

Within the framework of this training course, school students received information on sustainable development goals, human rights, waste management, protected areas, biodiversity, climate change, sustainable forest management, and environmental education.

At the end of the course, after the theoretical training, the students visited the Algeti National Park, the National Botanical Garden of Georgia, and Polivim LLC as part of the practical part of the course, where they familiarized themselves with the waste recycling process on site. “Tegeta Green Planet” sponsored these retreats.

Shalva Akhvlediani, Director of Tegeta Green Planet, and Tamar Dolidze, Head of the Health and Safety and Environmental Department of Tegeta Motors, met with the school students. The meeting provided young people with information on waste management efficiency, environmental initiatives, and extended producer responsibility.
The project was implemented nationwide. Schoolchildren from ninth through twelfth grades participated. The participants were selected based on the results of the competition.
