In October, Tegeta Green Planet took part in youth forums held as part of the Eco Awards School Competition. The forums took place in Mestia, Telavi, Gori, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi, providing young people with an opportunity to share knowledge on environmental issues, explore new ideas, and discuss green initiatives.
As part of the events, exhibition spaces featuring Tegeta Green Planet and Amboli were set up, where participants could learn about the organizations’ activities, waste management, and environmental responsibility. At the Tegeta Green Planet stand, young people learned about the company’s key areas of activity, the principles of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the importance of the circular economy.
The forums featured a diverse program of activities. Participants had the opportunity to take part in educational games and interactive activities designed to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and encourage the practical application of their knowledge. The events also welcomed international experts and guest speakers, who shared their experience and discussed environmental challenges and potential solutions.
The Eco Awards School Competition aims to raise environmental awareness among young people and promote sustainable development. A total of 280 students and 100 teachers from 24 public schools across Georgia participated in the project. The competition is implemented with the support of the European Union and the United Nations as part of the Circular Economy Promotion Programme.
For Tegeta Green Planet, engaging with young people is an important part of raising environmental awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility. Promoting proper waste management practices, resource reuse, and the principles of the circular economy are among the key priorities through which sharing knowledge can contribute to long-term change.
The youth forums provided another opportunity for students to explore environmental topics through practical activities, discover the potential of transforming waste into resources, and understand the importance of their individual contributions.
Tegeta Green Planet will continue to support youth initiatives and participate in projects focused on raising environmental awareness, as a greener future begins with informed and responsible decisions.
