Tegeta Green Planet representatives participate in the meeting on waste management and circular economy development

On May 28-30, 2024, a consulting meeting was held in Telavi within the framework of the EU-funded project “Promotion of Waste Management and Circular Economy Development in Georgia”. The meeting was attended by representatives of Tegeta Green Planets.

The participants of the meeting talked about waste oil and tire management in Georgia. They discussed the current waste recycling sector in Georgia and opportunities for its development. Foreign experts shared the European experience of waste oil and tire recycling with the participants of the meeting.

The participants discussed the existing problems in the direction of waste management and opportunities for the development of this practice in Georgia. During the meeting, the participants talked about the benefits of circular economy and the important role of circular economy for sustainable development and green economy.

This project aims to promote the introduction of waste recycling and circular economy practices in Georgia, which will mitigate the harmful impact on the environment and human health.

The project is implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and is implemented by the international consulting company COWI and the Regional Environmental Center Caucasus (REC Caucasus).
